There was no indication in Vicki's childhood that showed she would be destined to a life of fame. There are no cute stories of her performing for her family in front of the fireplace or recording interviews of family members at family reunions. No starring roles as trees or moons in class productions. In fact, except for the complete dysfunction of her family Vicki's childhood was pretty uneventful. It wasn't until middle and high school that there were twinges of interest in performing. While watching the Carol Burnett Show on TV, Vicki would dream of becoming one of the dancers who picked Carol Burnett up and twirled her around during the musical numbers. There were also the times Vicki would walk through her high school's auditorium on her way to the locker room after volleyball practice. She would pass by the "thespians" rehearsing for the next school production and would think acting looked a lot easier than running laps around the gym holding a volleyball over her head. So, Vicki went through high school as an athlete, avoided competition in college and never thought about a life in show business. Although, her athletic background came in handy when Enid injured her ankle at the beginning of a show and Vicki used her ankle wrapping talent to get Enid through that show and a few others. After a brief stint at Brooks Fashion College (for the unadvised small town lesbians) Vicki went on to receive a degree in Fine Arts at the University of Oregon. Another obvious progression toward show business!

Vicki's employment background is varied having worked in many fields from motel house cleaning to dressing sets for movie productions and many incarnations in between. Vicki's real work began in 1994 when her partner at the time gave birth to their first daughter, and Vicki diversified that endeavor by giving birth to their second daughter two years later. As a single parent of two daughters Vicki continues to marvel at how life imitates art and vice versa. She and her fabulous Aunties frequently find themselves audience to many a dinner time show, afternoon magic tricks or a hearty round of the "Irish Drinking Song" all performed by two very cute and talented children who are destined for fame.

To help her through the many life transitions that continue to find there way to her doorstep Vicki challanged herself to run the Portland Marathon in October of 2002. Just to see if she could do it. Who knows what will be next?
